OPP and York police are pledging a $100,000 reward, one year after the abduction of Elnaz Hajtamiri in Wasaga Beach.
Hajtamiri was taken around 8:30 p.m. on January 12, 2022, from a home on Trailwood Place. The three suspects had forced their way into the house. They were wearing police-type clothing (but not real uniforms). Suspension Insulator
They drove off in what appeared to be a white SUV, believed to be a Lexus RX.
“Nothing weighs more heavily on our souls than the idea that we may never know what happened to Elnaz,” said Fariba Hajtamiri, Elnaz’s mother. “We know there are people out there who have information and who may be contemplating whether to come forward. We pray that you will do the right thing and help us out of this suffering and bring justice for Elnaz.”
Officials are announcing a $100,000 reward for anybody who can help investigators bring Hajtamiri home. They point out that you can collect the money anonymously.
Investigators have released composite sketches of two of the three suspects.
“We ask the public to look closely at the sketches; we know someone recognizes these suspects and can provide us that one bit of information that will lead to Elnaz’s whereabouts,” said Detective Inspector Martin Graham of OPP. “We hope that anyone with any information will do the right thing by coming forward to police. Help us bring resolution to Elnaz’s family.”

In July, her ex-boyfriend was arrested by OPP.
